My name is Mark Emalfarb, I am the founder & CEO of Dyadic International, Inc (DYAI.PK). I started this blog to be a catalyst for the scientific and business community who are trying to accelerate the development of BioFuels from agricultural residues or dedicated energy crops such as Cellulosic Ethanol.

Joining the Cellulosic Ethanol Linkedin group may help you connect to some of the world’s leading scientists, engineers and business people who are committed to helping develop new technologies and the accompanied infrastructure that the world will need to wean itself from its growing dependence on fossil fuels, like petroleum to a more sustainable and renewable resources like Biomass (i.e. corn stover, corn cobbs, wheat straw, bagasse, etc..)  and dedicated energy crops (i.e. switch grass) which can be grown on available lands not being used to grow food, or are already available from the byproducts of agriculture to create fermentable sugars which can then be used to produce Cellulosic Ethanol, Bio Butanol, Bio Polymers, Bio Plastics and other Bio Products through the application of microbiology.

I am hopeful that this Blog will help stimulate creative thought that may help “Make A Difference” in accelerating the conversion of the world’s economies from their growing dependence on fossil fuels to a more sustainable economy based on renewable sugars that can be grown and consumed in the countries where petroleum is now being imported.

Another added benefit of applying such a disruptive technology is that by replacing fossil fuels with renewable sugars it is expected to help slow down Global Warming.
